The Canyon of the Condor – Cusco 1 day
The biggest bird of prey in the world is guarding the surrounding mountains of Cusco with its mighty ability to fly and amaze every visitor to come and experience its home.
Itinerary
In the morning at 07:30 am we will pick you up in the hotel after we gonna go to the local community of Chonta on the route that pass by the local where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Salkantay Mountain, Thereafter we will walk along a trail to the Condor viewpoint where the bird of the Incas in their natural habitat is showing their majestic wings, Also other Andeans animals like eagles, hawks, white tailed deer, cougar, the Andean fox and vizcachas would be possible to experience as well. After having witnessed the condor and the area, the group is going on an 1-hour hike in order to reach the Chonta community, where we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch, after lunch we return to the imperial city Cusco, but on the way we will visit the Incan archaeological site of Killarumiyoq and Tarawasi, which is another big important site of the Incas, your tour guide will teach everything about these two destinations as they have a lot of history and their architecture is amazing and finally we will arrive to Cusco at 20:00 hrs. aprox.
