Itinerary:

Day 1: City Tour

When you arrive to Cusco, reception and transfer to the hotel. We will give you the information about the tours. In the morning you have free time. At 2:00 pm. We’ll pick you up from your hotel, with our guide we are going to visit the Cathedral there are magnificent colonial art and paintings, after we will visit some of the most impressive Inca stonework and the most important religious center at Koricancha (Temple of the Sun). Then we will visit the impressive Incan fortress of Sacsayhuaman and Archaeological sites including Qenqo, Pucapukara and the spring shrine of Tambomachay. We will end the tour at the main square of Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Inkas

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am. We are going to visit the spectacular Sacred Valley. First we will see a fascinating Inka market at Pisaq which is a good place to buy gifts. Then we will visit the spectacular ruins of Pisaq. We will pass for different sites like Coya, Lamay, Calca, Urubamba, in this place we will have a delicious lunch. After lunch we will visit the fascinating ruins of Ollantaytambo Archaeological site which is a real sample of Inca Architecture. On the way back to Cusco we will visit Chinchero Village and enter to San Pedro Church. We will end the tour in the main square of Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 3: Machupicchu

Today will be an extraordinary day that you never will forget because you will visit the lost city of the Inkas. Early in the morning we will pick you up at your hotel to transfer you to the train station. The trip takes about 4 hours to Aguas Calientes Town. From there we will take the bus up to Macchupichu with our guide who will give you a thorough tour of this ancient Incan city. In the afternoon we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes and take the train to Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 4: Cusco - Puerto Maldonado - Isla de los Monos

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Puerto Maldonado, our guide will wait for you at the airport. We will take a boat along the Madre de Dios River to Tambo Jungle Lodge. A cool welcome drink awaits you and then you’ll be taken to your bungalows to get settle in. In the afternoon we will take a 30 min. boat journey to Monkeys Island where you can appreciate a great diversity of monkeys variety of birds as well. Return to Tambo Jungle Lodge, for a delicious traditional dinner. Nocturnal activities are available each night. Return to the Lodge.

Day 5: Sandoval Lake

After a great jungle breakfast, we will take 1 and a half hour walk to the famous Sandoval Lake, passing through virgin forest, home of beautiful flora and fauna including Giant otters, Water birds, Alligators, wild hens, Taricayas (small turtles) and a variety of fish. We will spend a few hours on canoe on one of the most beautiful lakes: the Madre de Dios where you can row, swim, and walk or simply relax before returning to the Lodge in the afternoon. We will have a box lunch at Sandoval Lake.

Day 6: Collpa de los Loros and transfer to the airport

Very early departure to witness the spectacle of the Collpa de Loros, sunrise on the river as we journey 1 and a half hour to a clay wall where hundreds of green parrots congregate at first light each morning. We will generally be able to spend about an hour here before reboarding the boat to enjoy breakfast on our return to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco. You have free time in the afternoon. Spend the night in hotel in Cusco.

Day 7: Departure day

After breakfast transfer to the airport.
