Itinerary.

Day 1: Cusco

Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. We will give you the information about the tours. You will have a free day. You can rest or walk around the city.

Day 2: City Tour

Today we will have the city tour. At 2:00 pm. We’ll pick you up from your hotel, with our guide we are going to visit the Cathedral there are magnificent colonial art and paintings, after we will visit some of the most impressive Inca stonework and the most important religious center at Koricancha (Temple of the Sun). Then we will visit the impressive Incan fortress of Sacsayhuaman and Archaeological sites including Qenqo, Pucapukara and the spring shrine of Tambomachay. We will end the tour at the main square of Cusco. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Inkas

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am. We are going to visit the spectacular Sacred Valley. First we will see a fascinating Inka market at Pisaq which is a good place to buy gifts. Then we will visit the spectacular ruins of Pisaq. We will pass for different sites like Coya, Lamay, Calca, Urubamba, in this place we will have a delicious lunch. After lunch we will visit the fascinating ruins of Ollantaytambo Archaeological site which is a real sample of Inca Architecture. On the way back to Cusco we will visit Chinchero Village and enter to San Pedro Church. We will end the tour in the main square of Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 4: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa (Salkantay Trek)

Early in the morning at 4:30 am. we will pick you up at your hotel and we’ll travel by bus to Mollepata. We’ll arrive at 8:00 am. We’ll pass through picturesque and traditional villages. Also we’ll see highland plateaus and landscapes with great views. At Silcakancha we will have lunch. After that we will continue the hike and descend to Soraypampa to the campsite.

Day 5: Soraypampa - Chaullay (Salkantay Trek)

Today we’ll begin to walk early, now we need more effort, because we have to climb to the Salkantay Pass ( 4600 m.a.s.l.) we will walk through a beautiful valley below the majestic snow capped mountain of Salkantay . After that we will continue to Chaullay, our campsite.

Day 6: Chaullay -Santa Teresa (Salkantay Trek)

After the breakfast we’ll continue the trek, today we will see different plants as orchids, coffee, coca leaves plantations, fruits, we’ll walk through different ecosystems observing birdlife including hummingbirds, finches, tanagers, sparrows, guans, parrots, etc. We will also see the people who live in harmony with nature. We will pass trough large waterfalls. Spend the night at Santa Teresa.

Day 7: Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes (Salkantay Trek)

We will continue the trek and we’ll climb up to Llactapata Pass from where we will see the lovely sight of Machupicchu, after that we’ll descend to the Aobamba Valley and we’ll pass for the hydroelectric plant and continue to Aguas Calientes Town. In the afternoon you can take a bath in the natural hot springs, which is a great place to relax after this challenging trek. Spend the night in a Hostal.

Day 8: Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco (Salkantay Trek)

After the breakfast we will continue towards Machupicchu to see the sunrise there. We will have the whole morning to relax and explore. Our guide will explain you about the wonders of this majestic place. Later in the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and take the bus to Cusco. Transfer to your Hotel.

Day 9: Departure day

After breakfast transfer to the airport.
